Άλλο ένα έγκλημα, μετά το ναυάγιο της Πύλου, συντελέστηκε αυτή τη φορά ανοιχτά της Χίου, με το Ελληνικό Λιμενικό (ΛΣ/ΕΛΑΚΤ) να καταδιώκει βάρκα με πρόσφυγες και να συγκρούεται μαζί της.
